Through lecture, discussion and exercises this workshop will address shame as the inner experience of being not wanted, worthless, rejected and cast out. Guilt will be addressed as believing that one has done something(s) bad…shame will be addressed as believing that one is bad. Knowledge, skills and techniques in terms of assessment, planning and intervention, for the social worker to work first on themselves and with clients toward recovery and restoration from shame and guilt will be the focus of this workshop. 6.0 Clinical hours. Pre-registration deadline is 4/20/18. Limited to 40 participants.
