1925: Suicide Safety Planning Intervention & Means Restrict
1925: April 5, 2019; 8:45 am - 12:00 pm. Registration begins at 8:15 am. (New Orleans). Suicide Safety Planning Intervention & Means Restriction. Presented by Allyson Pardue, LCSW-BACS. Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services, Benson Tower, 1450 Poydras Street, 7th Floor, New Orleans, LA 70112. This seminar will focus on guiding clinicians through a therapeutic technique to help clients who may be at risk for suicide, by learning the process of creating a suicide safety plan. Clinicians will also learn about the importance of restricting means for those who might be at risk for suicide. A suicide safety plan is a written list of coping strategies and supports that clients can use during or after a suicidal crisis. 3.0 Clinical hours. Pre-registration deadline is 3/29/19. Limited to 40 participants.
