1949: Building Resilience in Mass Trauma Events and Disaste

1949: May 24, 2019; 1:15 pm - 4:30 pm. Registration begins at 1:00 pm. (Baton Rouge).   Building Resilience in Mass Trauma Events and Disaster.    Presented by Angela Huval, LCSW.   First United Methodist Church, 930 North Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70802.   Terrorist attacks, school shootings, coupled with frequent natural and accidental disasters compel the attention of helping professionals involved in prevention interventions.  Trauma-Informed Approach and Trauma-Specific Interventions have proven to address an effective approach to building resiliency with survivors.  Utilizing evidence-based and best practice information, participants will learn how to promote the linkage to recovery and resilience for those individuals and families impacted by trauma.  This interactive learning group will participate in planning and intervening with survivors of mass trauma events and disaster. 3.0 Clinical hours.  Pre-registration deadline is 5/17/19.  Limited to 25 participants.
