(New Orleans).  Who Is To Take Care of The Caretaker: Self Care For The Social Worker and His/Her Clients.  Presented by Linda Kelly Woodruff, Ph.D., DSW, LCSW-BACS, ACSW.  Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services, Benson Tower, 1450 Poydras Street, 7th Floor, New Orleans, LA 70112.   Any casework or clinical social work treatment is abundant with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual stressors.  This workshop will, through lecture, discussion and experiential exercises, address strategies and techniques for both assessment and intervention of caretaker fatigue and the danger of burnout.  Caught up in a job or family caretaker role, caretakers often find themselves overwhelmed before taking account and actions to minimize or eliminate unsustainable stressors.  We will address not only self-care for the professional social worker but also the ways and means of assisting clients struggling with these same issues.  6.0 Clinical hours.  Pre-registration deadline is 1/31/20.  Limited to 40 participants.
