2012: Psychodynamic Approaches to Borderline Personality Di
2012: Feb 28, 2020; 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. Registration begins at 8:15 am. (Alexandria). Psychodynamic Approaches to Borderline Personality Disorder. Presented by Webb Haymaker, LCSW-BACS. The Arts Council of Central Louisiana, 1101 4th Street, Suite 201, 2nd Floor, Class Room F, Alexandria LA 71301. This workshop will describe what distinguishes psychodynamic theories and treatment models for borderline personality disorder from cognitive-behavioral approaches. Participants will also learn how to describe projective defenses (splitting, projection, projective-identification) function to maintain “stable-instability” in the interpersonal relationships of patients with borderline personality disorder. Participants will be able to apply psychoanalytic theories and treatment models of borderline personality organization to clinical process. 6.0 Clinical hours. Pre-registration deadline is 2/21/20. Limited to 30 participants.
