(Alexandria).  Supervision Basics: Clinical Supervision For The New Board Approved Clinical Supervisor.  Presented by Alan Kirk, Ph.D., LCSW, ACSW.   The Arts Council of Central Louisiana, 1101 4th Street, Suite 201, 2nd Floor, Class Room D, Alexandria LA 71301.   The quality of the clinical supervisory relationship is an important predictor of successful practice for the supervisee.  Supervisors must be equipped with the wisdom, knowledge and skills to facilitate the design and implementation of a successful training process.  This workshop is designed to help the new supervisor develop those skills and techniques necessary for a successful supervisory relationship.  Key topics to be covered are theoretical foundations, clinical perspectives of intervention, roles and tasks of the supervisor, models of supervision, and much more.    This workshop has been approved by LABSWE for 6.5 Clinical/Supervision hours of continuing education and is acceptable for the Board Approved Clinical Supervisor-BACS certification.  Pre-registration deadline is 3/27/20.  Limited to 30 participants.
