2017: Strengths Based Approach to Supporting Court Involved
2017: April 3, 2020; 8:30 am - 11:45 am. Registration begins at 8:15 am. (Baton Rouge). Strengths Based Approach to Supporting Court Involved Youth. Presented by Jennifer Dobies, LCSW and Lana Charles, MSW, CSW. First United Methodist Church, 930 North Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. In resource poor environments, working with court-involved youth can be difficult. This seminar will give concrete information about how providers can do the most good for children who are court involved from the perspective of legal teams trying to keep children out of jails. It will further use participants own experiences to troubleshoot ways to respond to crises that will be therapeutic and think about which resources our communities need, that could be advocated for. 3.0 General hours. Pre-registration deadline is 3/27/20. Limited to 25 participants.
