2130: The Use of Intuition in the Psychotherapeutic Relatio
May 21, 2021 - 9:00am - 12:15pm. The Use of Intuition in the Psychotherapeutic Relationship. Intuition provides the bridge between psychological theory and counseling practice. Nobel laureates have looked to intuition to guide their research. Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, Inc., assigned more importance to intuition than to intellect. In this workshop, we will introduce the benefits of using intuition in a clinical setting, discuss the components of intuition, review three theories of the origin of intuition, and experience at least three practices to develop clinical intuition. 3.0 Clinical hours.
