2429: Ageism: Call it Out!

2429:  Ageism: Call it Out!  This presentation focuses on the prevalence of ageism in our society and how it affects clients. Social workers will recognize an obligation to respond to this often accepted and overlooked discrimination.  Social workers values and ethics require us to become competent in working with older adults and take action in helping clients self-advocate and role modeling this advocacy. Improved training, increased skills in working with older adults, and calling out ageism are obligations. Presented by:  Gina Rossi, LCSW-BACS.    Member:  $50 / Non-Member $85.  3.0 Ethical.  Pre-registration is required to be awarded CEU credit.
