Presenter Bio
Meagan Snedigar is a dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker with a passion for advocating for justice-impacted individuals. Her journey began after earning her bachelor’s degree in social work from LSU and accepting an internship with the mental health team at Louisiana State Penitentiary, which ignited her passion for helping those impacted by mass incarceration. In 2021, Meagan joined Louisiana Parole Project as an intern and played a key role in developing effective social work programs and policies. Her contributions enhanced the support for individuals reintegrating into society after long periods of incarceration. Upon earning her master’s degree in social work in 2022, Meagan transitioned to a full-time role as a social worker at Parole Project, where she continues to make a meaningful difference in her clients’ lives. Meagan remains deeply committed to giving back to her community and advancing social justice efforts in Louisiana. Her dedication to reentry exemplifies her ongoing commitment to create positive change and empower formerly incarcerated individuals to thrive outside of carceral institutions.
