2024 NASW Louisiana Annual Conference "Advancing Health Equity Through Social Work" March 6-8, 2024 Crowne Plaza Executive Center Baton Rouge, LA

We want to thank everyone who attended the 2024 NASW-LA conference, and extend our deepest appreciation for making it such a positive, informative, and transformative experience.  It takes a lot of work behind the scenes to put on an event of this size, and that’s a huge testament to the Conference Chair, Conference Committee, NASW-LA Board, Volunteers and our support system at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.  But most of all, it’s due to the tireless work of Missy Hall-James, who’s been working non-stop since conference to finalize all of the details and administrative tasks.  One of those is getting the CEU and evaluation system set up, and that will be emailed to all attendees as soon as it’s ready.  We’re hoping that will be this Friday, March 15th, but it may be early next week.  We ask for your understanding and patience and rest assured as soon as it’s ready you will receive it.  Lastly, please do not forget to fill out the conference evaluation, as we both presenters and out chapter require that feedback to help make future conferences even better.  Thanks again, and see you next year at conference!

Registration is OPEN for the 2024 NASW Louisiana Chapter Annual Conference. Come join us on March 6-8, 2024, as we return to the Crowne Plaza Executive Center in Baton Rouge, LA.  The conference will bring together social workers, allied professionals, and thought leaders from across the state and surrounding areas. Focusing on the theme: Advancing Health Equity Through Social Workers, the conference will feature top-notch speakers, plenaries, and breakout sessions; all providing knowledge and discussion on today’s hot topics, best practices, and latest trends in the industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to 20 CEUS, inclusive of Clinical, Ethics, and General CEU types. Join us to gain immediate take-aways to apply to your work!

2024 Conference will mark a return of NASW Louisiana Awards Celebration, recognizing Social Workers, Students, Citizens, and Organizations who are exhibiting outstanding work and leadership. Come prepared to learn but also to have fun and relax in celebration of the dedication and contributions of our awesome Social Workers in recognition of National Social Work Month!

Conference registration includes a keynote on Returning to our Social Work Roots, presented by Shelina Davis, MPH, MSW, CEO of Louisiana Public Health Institute, an Exhibit Hall, and non-stop networking opportunities. Breakfast, lunch, and two coffee breaks will be served on March 6 and 7, and breakfast and two coffee breaks will be available on March 8.
