1972: Working With The Terminally Ill and Their Caregivers
1972: June 14, 2019; 8:45 am - 12:00 pm. Registration begins at 8:15 am. (Thibodaux). Working With The Terminally Ill and Their Caregivers. Presented by Rose M. Daigle, LPC, MA, LMFT, DVC, RT. Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, Behavioral Health Center, 602 North Acadia Road, Thibodaux, LA 70301. Those who have been diagnosed terminally ill as well as their caretakers face multiple challenges. Participants learn techniques to assist their client – whether caregiver or the terminally ill person – to work through these challenges – which include dealing with medical personnel, handling disagreements and conflict between family and friends, insuring that caregivers care for themselves and identifying situations and people that interfere with the terminally ill’s end of life experience. 3.0 Clinical hours. Pre-registration deadline is 6/7/19. Limited to 45 participants.
