Importance of Differentiating Autistic Spectrum Traits from Sexual Abuse Indicators. This presentation will examine the difficulty in properly differentiating between Autistic Spectrum traits and indicators of Sexual Abuse in children and adolescents.  There is little research available to assist in proper, accurate diagnosis.  Proper diagnosis is further complicated by the fact that many traits "crossover" and can be attributed to the incorrect diagnosis.  In addition, when diagnoses are co-occurring, evidenced based treatment modalities sometimes fall short.
