Topic:  Ethics for the Mental Health Professional- The Complications of Dual or Multiple Relationship. Presented by: Carol Campbell, M.S., L.P. C., LLC.  During this training, participants will be able to identify ethical boundaries in the areas of bartering, sexual interactions, human relationships, and small community unique concerns. 1.50 Ethical hours.  Pre-registration is required to be awarded CEU credit.


Presenter Bio


Dr. Campbell's educational history includes earning a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 1985, M.C.J. in 1987 from LSU, and her M.S.W. fall of 1987 from LSU. She attended Valdosta State College, earning a M. S. in 1979 and B.A. in summer of 1977. She graduated from Camden County High Schoo. She is an Associate Professor in Sociology, Department of Social Services at McNeese State University, Sociology Advisor, and Temporary Coordinator of Family and Child Studies, having served at McNeese since 1996. She is also a private practitioner. Other experience includes Program Evaluator of Families Helping Families, Social Worker of Families Helping Families, Program Evaluator of Nu-Exodus at SWLA, Clinical Social Worker, Counselor in Pre-Trial Diversion, Sex Offender Treatment Provider, Contact Researcher, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of SW Louisiana, Part-time Instructor in Psychology and Sociology, Louisiana State University at Eunice, Assistant Professor of Social Work and Sociology and Coordinator of Criminal Justice, Louisiana College, Department of Sociology, Social Work, and Criminal Justice, Pineville, Louisiana, Professional Counselor, Pineville, Louisiana, Professional Counselor, Pineville, Louisiana, Coordinator of the Special Needs Center Referral Line, Valdosta State College, Full-time Assistant Professor of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice Valdosta State College, Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice, Valdosta, Georgia, among many other professional and volunteer careers and endeavors.  She has received various awards and honors including Award of Outstanding Service to Students Within the College of Liberal Arts, The Dorothy Schendel Leadership Award, Served on the Local and State NASW Board, Alexandria Branch NASW Public Relations Officer, Sponsor of Alpha Kappa Delta (Sociology Honor Society), Nominee as Young Careerist for Valdosta Area, Certificate of Recognition from LSU-E Criminal Justice Society, and many other professional community awards.  Dr. Campbell's certifications include Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Board Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Board Certified Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Academy of Certified Social Workers, and Professional Counselor.  She has a multitude of publications in the areas of criminology, animal abuse, sociology, smoking, sexual deviance, deviant behavior, women's criminal behavior, news articles in NASW News, and many others.  Dr. Campbell has made various professional presentations addressing social work ethics, social work practice, treatment of female orgasmic disorders, mental disorders, female gender role in the prison setting, female roles in society, and many other topics.  She has served as chair and moderator at various professional meetings. She has presented professional papers, providing workshops and sessions, reviewed for publishers, served as a grant reviewer, provide organization of conferences, is a member of many professional and honor societies, served on various committees, boards and council memberships, and taught various topics graduate and undergraduate courses. She is an animal lover and a dear friend.
