Harvey received his MSW from Florida State University in 1990 and is licensed in multiple states including Louisiana and Florida. He has work in corrections, foster care, child abuse, substance abuse, suicide prevention for the VA and suicide prevention for the Army/LANG. He is trained in EMDR. He is a Certified Complex Trauma Professional Level II and certified in Trauma Focused CBT. He currently provides trauma services to CENLA clients.
